Video to video AI: restyle any clip
Upload a video and describe a new style. Krea re-renders every frame with Luma Modify, keeping the original motion and timing.
Your video opens in Krea's Video Restyle tool, where you can adjust the prompt and generate. Video restyle needs a paid plan.
How to restyle a video with AI
Three steps, in your browser.
- 01
Upload a video
Add an MP4, WebM, or MOV clip at least 512 pixels wide and tall. Short, steady shots with one clear subject restyle best.
- 02
Describe the new style
Write what the video should look like: an oil painting, an anime scene, claymation, or a new time of day. Pick how strongly to change it.
- 03
Generate
Luma Modify re-renders every frame in the new style, following the motion of your original clip. Most restyles finish in about 2 minutes.
Video to video AI
Keep the motion, change the look
Video to video AI, also called AI video style transfer or video restyle, takes footage you already have and re-renders it from a text prompt. The camera move, the timing, and the way people and objects move stay the same, while the look of every frame changes: live action becomes a painting, a phone clip becomes an anime scene, a daytime street turns to night.
Krea runs Luma Modify, built on Luma’s Ray 2 video model, with three strength levels. Adhere keeps the video close to the original, Flex changes the style while keeping recognizable elements, and Reimagine builds entirely new visuals on top of your motion.
What you can do with video to video AI
Restyle footage you already shot instead of generating a new clip from scratch.
Open Video RestyleApply any art style
Turn live footage into an oil painting, a watercolor, an anime scene, a pencil sketch, or claymation with one prompt.
Change the scene
Swap the season, the weather, the time of day, or the setting around your subject while the action stays the same.
Control how much changes
Adhere, Flex, and Reimagine each come in three levels, from a light grade to a complete transformation.
The video restyle model on Krea
Luma Modify is the restyle model available on Krea today. Runway Aleph was retired by Runway on July 30, 2026.
Luma Modify
Luma’s video-to-video model on Ray 2. Restyles an uploaded clip from a prompt in three modes, Adhere, Flex, and Reimagine, with three levels each.
- ~259 units/sec at 720p
- Paid plans
Adhere
Light restyle that keeps the video almost identical.
Flex
Changes the style while keeping recognizable elements.
Reimagine
Strongest change, with entirely new visuals.
Luma Modify bills per second of output, by resolution. The cost above is for a 1280 × 720 video, the largest size Krea sends after scaling your upload down; smaller videos cost less.
Video restyle for creators and brands
Shoot once, then give the footage any look.

Turn a performance clip into a painted, animated, or surreal version for a visualizer or a lyric video.
Social content
Restyle a TikTok, Reel, or Short into anime or claymation to stand out in the feed.
Ads and product films

Previs and pitches
Shoot rough reference on your phone, then restyle it to show the final art direction.
Short films
Give live-action scenes a consistent painted or animated style across a sequence.

Video to video AI: frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about restyling videos with Krea.
Video to video AI re-renders an existing video from a text prompt. The model reads the motion, layout, and timing of each frame, then paints new frames in the style you describe, so the result moves exactly like the original but looks different. On Krea you upload a clip, write the style, and Luma Modify generates the restyled video.
Upload a video at the top of this page, describe the new style, and click Restyle video. The clip opens in Krea’s Video Restyle tool with your prompt filled in, where you can change the strength and generate. Video restyle needs a paid plan.
For restyling footage you already have, Luma Modify is one of the strongest options, and it’s what Krea runs: it follows the original motion closely and lets you choose how much changes. Runway Aleph, another popular option, was retired by Runway on July 30, 2026. If you don’t have footage yet, generate a clip from scratch with the AI video generator instead.
No, video restyle needs a paid Krea plan. Free accounts get 100 compute units a day for image generation and other free tools, but Luma Modify isn’t included, and a 5-second 720p restyle costs about 1,296 units. The Basic plan’s 5,000 monthly units cover about 19 seconds of 720p restyle; see Krea pricing.
No. ChatGPT can restyle a single image, but it can’t take your video and re-render every frame in a new style while keeping the motion. Use ChatGPT to brainstorm the style prompt, then paste it into Krea’s video restyle tool.
Any style you can describe in a prompt: oil painting, watercolor, anime, pencil sketch, claymation, 3D render, comic book, or a photoreal change such as night, snow, or a different outfit. Short, specific prompts work best, for example “a hand-drawn anime scene with soft cel shading”.
They set how much Luma Modify changes your video. Adhere makes minimal changes and keeps the video almost identical, Flex changes the style while keeping recognizable elements, and Reimagine creates entirely new visuals from your video. Each mode has three levels in the tool, nine in total.
Yes. The restyled clip follows the camera move, timing, and movement of your original video. Adhere stays closest to the source; Reimagine keeps the overall motion but can change shapes, faces, and backgrounds a lot more.
Use an MP4, WebM, or MOV clip at least 512 pixels wide and tall, with a steady camera, good light, and one clear subject. Short clips restyle faster and cost less, since Luma Modify bills per second. Fast cuts, heavy motion blur, and crowded scenes give less consistent results.
Krea scales uploads down to at most 1280 × 720 pixels before Luma Modify restyles them, so expect results around 720p. To sharpen the result or take it to a higher resolution, run it through the AI video upscaler.
Most restyles finish in about 2 minutes, the median time on Krea including the queue. Longer clips and busy times take longer, and you can leave the page while it runs; the video stays in your Video Restyle session.
Yes, paid Krea plans include a commercial license, so you can use restyled videos in ads, client work, and products. Only restyle footage you own or have permission to use, and label synthetic media where your platform requires it.
No. Krea doesn’t add a watermark to the videos you restyle, so you can download and post them as they are.
Your video is uploaded to your Krea account and sent to Luma, through Krea’s model provider, to generate the restyle. Krea checks your prompt against its content policy before generating. Read the Krea privacy policy for how Krea stores and uses your data.
Yes. Runway retired Aleph on July 30, 2026, and Krea’s video restyle runs Luma Modify, which restyles uploaded footage from a prompt with three strength modes. You can also generate, upscale, and edit the result in the same account.
Video to video restyles the whole clip, the subject and the scene, from a text prompt. Motion transfer copies the movement in a video onto a different character from your own image; use Krea’s Motion Transfer tool for that.
Yes. If you’re starting from a still rather than footage, the Image to Video tool animates your image from a prompt with models such as Kling, Veo, and Seedance.
