How it works

Prompt patterns that work for architectural renders

  • Name the materials. “Fair-faced concrete,” “vertical cedar cladding,” “standing seam zinc,” “warm masonry.” Generic prompts give generic materials.
  • Specify the lighting. “Golden hour warm light,” “blue hour with warm interior glow,” “soft overcast daylight,” “midday clear light with sharp shadows.” Lighting is the single biggest driver of render mood.

How clean does my sketch need to be?
Loose is fine. Krea 2 reads *composition, massing, and silhouette* out of rough construction-line drawings and uses them to guide a fresh generation. If a colleague could understand the building from the sketch, the model can pick up the same intent.
Can I use CAD line drawings instead of hand sketches?
Yes. Export your line work as a PNG with a transparent or white background and use it as the image reference. The model treats both the same way.
Will the materials match exactly what I want?
Materials respond strongly to specific names — "fair-faced concrete," "shou-sugi-ban cedar," "honed travertine." Vague prompts give vague results. Because the render is *generated* rather than edited from the sketch, exact 1:1 material control comes from the prompt and references, not from the sketch itself.
Will the render match my sketch line-for-line?
No. Krea 2 is a generation model, not an editing model — it reads the sketch as a *directional reference* (composition, massing, silhouette) and generates a fresh photoreal image in that direction. Will this replace architectural visualization studios?
No. It will replace the days a small studio spends on early-stage and intermediate presentation renders. Final hero renders, animations, and VR walk-throughs are still better produced in a full visualization pipeline.
