The Krea Commercial License covers any company or individual using Krea model weights for commercial use, including self-hosting, fine-tuning, or embedding models directly into products or infrastructure. This applies to developers and startups building image generation features, agencies producing client assets, media/content companies, and enterprises needing full deployment control with commercial protection. If you charge for generated images, create client assets, or distribute software incorporating the model weights, you need this license.

We offer two tiers for the commercial license, Maker and Enterprise. If you are using assets internally for creative outputs and ideation, have fewer than 10 team members, or are generating fewer than 10,000 images per month, then the Maker tier is for you. Yes, you own the outputs you create. Our license allows you to use model outputs commercially, and we make no ownership claim over those outputs. It remains your responsibility to determine whether the outputs are appropriate for commercial use in your specific context. Please refer to our acceptable use policy for guidance on output generations.

You can self-host a Krea model, fine-tune it on your own data, create LoRAs and other derivatives, and integrate the model (or derivatives of it) into your application or product. The Maker license does not permit hosting an external-facing API endpoint with the model. You can integrate the model into a customer-facing product or internal application, but the model itself should not be directly exposed via API unless you are on an Enterprise agreement. If offering API access is a requirement for your use case, please contact our sales team ([email protected]).

Each tier includes the option to select either Krea 2 Raw or Krea 2 Turbo, which are ideal for training and inference respectively. Contact our sales team to discuss which models are right for your use case.

Licensed users (the individuals who can work with and fine-tune the model) are capped at 10 for the Maker tier. Enterprise includes a custom amount of licensed users. Domains (the client entities or sub-properties you can serve with the model) vary by tier.

Maker is the most basic tier we offer and designed to be easy and accessible to get started with. However, it has a few important limitations compared to the Enterprise tier: it has limited commercial use terms, and no support. If for example, you plan to produce content for large commercial clients or need legal clarity on IP ownership, we'd recommend the Enterprise license.

Support varies by tier. Maker does not include dedicated support, while Enterprise tiers have custom support options. Reach out to our sales team to discuss the right support arrangement for your needs.
